These were single men, working their way west, without wagons or cattle, who also lost their lives in the massacre.

- ALF SMITH, age unknown, of Newton County, Arkansas. A drover with nothing to lose except his life
- GEORGE BASHAM, age unknown, of Johnson County, Arkansas. Associated with Jones and Tackitt families and working as a cattle drover
- JOHN BEACH, age 21, Cattle Drover
- SILAS EDWARDS, age unknown, of Carroll County, Arkansas. Reported to be an uncle of John Twitty Baker.
- TOM FARMER, age unknown, of Newton County, Arkansas. One of John Twitty Baker’s drovers working out passage to the gold fields of California
- JOHN PREWIT, 20, and WILLIAM PREWIT, 18 of Marion County, Arkansas. Young men working their way west as cattle drovers in hopes of fulfilling their dreams.
- JAMES MATTHEW FANCHER, 25, and ROBERT FANCHER, 19 Years of Carrollton, Arkansas. Young men working as drovers on their cousin Alexander’s wagon train.
- LAWSON A. MCENTIRE, 21, of Marion County, Arkansas. Young man working his way west as a cattle drover.
- POTEET BROTHERS – Ages unknown of Johnson County, Arkansas. Cattle Drovers on their way to “see the elephant”
- CHARLIE STALLCUP, 25, of Marion County, Arkansas. Young cattle drover who left wife Winnie Wood Stallcup in Arkansas while pursuing his dream.
- RICHARD WILSON, 27, of Marion County, Arkansas. Young man working way west as Cattle Drover.
- WILLIAM WOOD, 26, and SOLOMON WOOD, 20, of Marion County, Arkansas. On their way to California to make their fortune.
Survivors: 17 Small Children
Small children were spared because of a religious belief that it was wicked to shed blood of children under the age of 8. The oldest survivor was only 6 years old at the time of the massacre.
